The Great North Run is known for its lively atmosphere, incredible crowd support and the iconic Red Arrows flypast near the finish. Each year, 60,000 runners take on this 13.1-mile route from Newcastle to South Shields.
Sign up to help fund specialist care for people with heart and lung conditions – while taking part in one of the best-loved races in the world.
How much does it cost?
It’s £30 to register, and we ask you to raise at least £350 in sponsorship.
You’ll get a fundraising pack, charity running vest and friendly one-to-one support with training and fundraising.

Every penny you raise will fund technological advances, vital research and medical breakthroughs – helping us rewrite the future for millions.
