Road to Recovery: Post Covid Mental Health Programme Donate Fundraise Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals have cared for hundreds of the sickest Covid-19 patients. They have found that for those who have been critically ill, the impact of Covid-19 can last way beyond the initial virus, as patients can experience a range of severe and prolonged mental and physical health issues. This can include post-traumatic stress, memory loss, chronic pain and fatigue, which affect many aspects of day-to-day life. This is why the Charity is raising funds to set up and run a new initiative called Road to Recovery: Post Covid Mental Health Programme that will support patients with their psychological and physical recovery. Family members will also be supported as they play a vital role in the care and ongoing recovery of their loved ones. Where will my money go? Everything you give will go towards helping patients who have had critical care on their journey to recovery. In this video, Dr Anne-Marie Doyle explains how being severely ill can impact your mental health and how this new service will help Covid-19 patients. With your support, we can fund specialist one-to-one counselling and support groups for patients and their families who desperately need our help dealing with the mental health effects of Covid-19.
