Supporting the life-saving work of this world-class hospital, specialising in the treatment of child and adult heart and lung conditions

Royal Brompton Hospital in Chelsea is home to Europe’s largest centre for the treatment and management of cystic fibrosis and also sees patients suffering from asthma and other lung conditions such as chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and lung cancer, from across the country. Royal Brompton is also home to Europe's largest adult congenital heart disease unit.

The Brompton treats babies, teenagers, young adults, middle-aged people and the elderly, which makes it incredibly special to those who receive life-long care at the hospital.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, we’ve been able to achieve some remarkable things for Royal Brompton.

When our nurses told us that sick children on Rose Ward needed a more inspiring place to play, our supporters helped fund a new sensory soft play area, enjoyed by 1,000 children each year. When our surgeons told us they needed a more dynamic operating space, we funded a state-of-the-art hybrid theatre, reducing patient recovery times by 50%. And when our doctors told us that elderly patients sometimes got cold in air-conditioned rooms, we bought warming blankets to keep them snug.

These are just a few of the life-enhancing projects your money goes towards.

With your help, we can continue to ensure that people with heart and lung conditions receive the very best treatment and care.

Thank you for your support
