Brr, it’s cold as I write my blog, but we are too busy (almost) to notice as we rush headlong into one of the most incredible events of my fundraising career (which has spanned more decades than I care to think about). Yes, it has to be the 100 Hearts Comedy Spectacular at The London Palladium on Wednesday 13 February.

If you have bought a ticket – or lots of tickets, thank you. Thank you even more to our amazing sponsors who have made it possible for us to say to our ticket buyers that every £ of cost has already been covered, so tickets, anything that's given on the night and every programme will go directly to supporting our two amazing hospitals.

Wow.

So many people to thank for getting this far; all the stars of course, who are giving their time and talent for free to help us raise funds for the Charity and the hospitals. Rob Brydon, Dara Ó Briain, Greg Davies, Rachel Parris, Nina Conti, Omid Djalili to name but a few. Then there’s the amazing Philip Pope who has worked incredibly hard to get this extraordinary night together with a fantastic backstage crew. And, all the Charity team, especially Rosie Pope – it would not have happened without this great team. Would you believe it but out of 2,230 tickets, we have just a handful left.  If you want to come – be quick, and don’t miss out – it’s going to be the best night out. You can purchase your ticket here.

But let’s not forget our 'smaller' events too – well done to the Harefield team for organising a pancake race on…. Of course Shrove Tuesday – Pancake Day.  If you can go and join them, it will be a lot of fun. If you can’t, perhaps hold a sponsored pancake flip in your own home and send a donation to Harefield Hospital. All funds raised will go to support the appeal to buy more Organ Care Systems which enable more life-saving heart transplants to be undertaken – so your pancake could help save a life. Sign up here and I hope to see you there.
