An exclusive opportunity to learn, experience and enjoy an evening with a specialist consultant on Wednesday 14 March

Two very special speakers are joining forces to host an exclusive evening for our donors and supporters. I write to invite you to Royal Brompton Hospital on Wednesday 14 March and afterwards at the nearby Bumpkin restaurant for an evening of learning, new experiences and fun.

We will begin the evening at 6pm in the coffee shop next to Royal Brompton’s Sydney Street entrance.

In a presentation called What would you do? Dr Miles Dalby will teach you about cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and how to use a defibrillator. You will have the opportunity to try out CPR on a manikin and learn if you are doing it correctly. The presentation will also aim to demystify a defibrillator, to increase confidence around using one.

We will then make our way to nearby British restaurant, Bumpkin for supper around 7pm.

Each table of guests will be joined by a senior clinician so that discussions can continue. As you know, Royal Brompton is the most special of all specialist hospitals, and being able to meet and talk with consultants who treat patients with heart and lung disease every day is a rare opportunity – especially in a relaxed and convivial setting.

Over pudding and coffee, we will have a speaker who will talk to us about how to prevent diseases through living well. There are so many myths, fads and fashions about how to do this but what should we really be doing or eating, (and what should we be avoiding).

The evening will then end at 9.45pm.

How much does it cost?

Tickets are just £35 each for this unique evening, and, as you can imagine, places are limited. But I really hope you can come and join us for this exclusive opportunity to learn, experience and enjoy an evening with the consultants.

Please let Denise Hawkes know ( [email protected] ) if you can come and how many tickets you would like to buy. Or, if you would prefer to go straight to our online booking page, tickets can be purchased below.
