Dust off those trainers and join us for a fun-fuelled day at the 38th annual Harefield  Fun Run & Family Day 

Run, jog or simply meander the 5km course*. Or, for those feeling like the next Mo Farrah or Paula Radcliffe, make it a 10k by completing two laps!

If running is not your thing or you just want to cheer on your friends and family, why not join us for our incredible family fun day and help us cheer the runners in?

Enjoy the delicious food on offer and soak up the sunshine (fingers crossed!). From arts & craft stalls to live dance displays, we can guarantee there is fun for all the family to enjoy! 

Trophies will be awarded for the following categories:

  • Hamsters Cup: The participant with the most recent transplant  
  • Royal Brompton & Harefield Hospitals Charity Cup: The largest team entry
  • Professor Magdi Yacoub Shield: The individual who has raised the most money
  • Re-Beat Club Cup: The team who has raised the most money.

Where will my money go?

All proceeds from the Fun Run will go towards our new 'Transforming Your Care' Appeal, to fund a digital platform that will support nursing staff in collecting patient observations and enhance patient care at our hospitals. 

The platform automatically notifies nursing staff when medical intervention is needed, ensuring patients are seen at the right place, the right time and by the appropriate clinician.

It also utilises life-saving early warning technology for sepsis – there are around 250,000 cases of this potentially life-threatening condition, each year in the UK. Nurses will be alerted to early signs of patient deterioration and can escalate the treatment of patients at risk of sepsis, immediately reducing the risk of this dangerous condition.

Everyone taking part will receive a Fun Run t-shirt, goodie bag and finisher's medal. 

Once registered, we will send you details of your running number, which you can collect on the day along with your t-shirt. Final instructions for the day will be made available closer to the day.

Please note that group entries are for a maximum of five people. 

*A 2km route is also available.

Early bird tickets are available until Thursday 1 August. After this date, standard tickets will cost £9 (child) and £15 (adult).
