In June my husband Tim was admitted to Harefield after struggling with Pulmonary Fibrosis for several years. His only hope was a double lung transplant and he desperately needed a donor.
Tim had become too ill to wait at home and he was put on the life support machine "ECMO" to keep him alive. He remained on ECMO in Intensive Care for a further two weeks before suitable lungs became available and the incredible team at the Harefield could give him a brand new lease of life.
Tim came home 9 weeks after the transplant and myself - and our two children, Oscar (14) and Felix (10) - will be running to say thank you for his phenomenal care and to raise money to help future patients to have this amazing opportunity.
The run takes place on Sunday September 8th and I will be attempting the full 10km course (!) - the boys will be running the more modest, but still challenging, 2km route.
Without the incredible team at the hospital Tim wouldn't be with us today so we want to raise a meaningful amount of money that will make a real, practical difference. I haven't specified a target, the sky really is the limit!
Anything you can contribute, large or small, will be very, very much appreciated.

Thank you!
