We are incredibly excited to unveil two new fundraising appeals after supporters help us smash our targets for Building for Brighter Futures and One Gene, All the Difference.

Transforming the heart of PICU is our Royal Brompton appeal, which aims to raise £65k to create a welcoming space for parents of critically ill children as they arrive on the paediatric intensive care unit (PICU). The current space has been described as 'unwelcoming' and 'difficult to navigate'. Its poor design can cause confusion among parents - the last thing they need.

We are excited to hold several events including a summer raffle to raise money for this appeal.

The MitraClip Appeal is one that will benefit patients across both of our hospitals.

We are raising £175k to cover the cost of ten MitraClip procedures. These clever little clips are used to fix life-threatening leaks in the heart’s mitral valve, without the need for open-heart surgery.

The NHS is cutting its funding of MitraClips, but without them, patients who are too weak to have heart surgery will run out of options.

Our Harefield Fun Run on 10 September will be the perfect opportunity for us to get this appeal into full swing. We hope to see many of our supporters there to help us celebrate the life-saving work carried out each day at Harefield.
