Everyone at the Charity and our NHS colleagues want to say a huge thank you for donating this December

Hundreds of supporters came together to donate throughout December and have their gifts matched through the Doubling December campaign. Our aim was to raise £20,000, to set up one to one counselling and peer to peer support groups for Covid-19 patients and their families. This will help them recover psychologically from time spent in ITU during the pandemic.

We are thrilled to announce the grand total raised was £20,249, which will be matched with £20,000 additional funding from our sponsor to fund our Road to Recovery: Post Covid Mental Health Programme.

Your dedication in giving back to patients at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals and their families never fails to amaze us. Everyone at the Charity and our NHS colleagues want to say a huge thank you.

Richard Bowyer, chief executive of Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity, said:

We are very grateful to everyone who donated to Doubling December. For some patients, fighting off the virus is only part of the process of getting over Covid-19. Your generosity means that this new programme will help these patients and their families, so no-one will be alone on their journey to recovery.

Our Road to Recovery appeal is not over yet. We need your help to raise a further £110,000 to fund this vital project, so please donate or fundraise for Road to Recovery so that Covid-19 patients can have a brighter 2022.
