Harefield Carols by Candlelight raises £700 With Christmas just around the corner, last week saw our supporters and the local community come together for our special carol service in aid of Harefield Hospital's Transplant Appeal In its fourth year, staff, patients, supporters, volunteers and members of the Harefield local community helped us to raise £700 for Harefield Hospital, to support its world-class Transplant Programme. There were performances from St Mary's Youth and Adult Choirs, and our very own Singing for Breathing, who contributed to a beautiful service, led by Reverend Martin Davies and Churchwarden Rowena Scott. Choir mistress Kay McHugh led the singers, with Aideen McHugh accompanying on the harp. Hillingdon's Mayor was also in attendance. Local schools, Harefield Academy and Harefield Junior School performed a selection of songs including 'Love Shone Done' (Harefield Junior School) and 'Do They Know It's Christmas' (Harefield Academy). Thank you to St Mary's Church, who made this special service possible. Proceeds from the evening will go towards the Charity’s Transplant Appeal.
