Over 120 supporters joined us on Sunday 14 July for our eagerly anticipated London Bridges Walk, raising an incredible £11,600.

Our last Bridges Walk in 2016 was a great success so, when our amazing fundraisers asked to see it return in 2019, we were more than happy to comply!

Patients, friends, family and hospital staff came together to walk 5k or 10k along the River Thames on a beautifully sunny day. We were even joined by some special four-legged friends.

The day kicked off at The Morpeth Arms which kindly hosted the start and finish of the event. Many participants also finished their walk with some delicious pub food.

Sights along the route included Lambeth Palace, the Houses of Parliament and the London Eye, and of course, some of London's spectacular bridges.

Our walkers had the added bonus of a goody bag filled with lots of snacks and fresh fruit, which was generously donated by Ripe London.

If you joined us for the event, from everyone at Charity HQ - thank you, and we hope you had a great time and look forward to seeing you at our next Bridges Walk. Everything you raised, every penny, will support patients at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals.

Special thanks go to our event sponsors Wattsway Travel. A massive thank you to our photographers Laura Wetherall and Ravi Goel, our dedicated volunteers and the local companies who donated tombola prizes.
