I'm fundraising because...My sister Melanie Jack received excellent treatment while a patient at The Royal Brompton hospital.Following the Diagnosis of Covid-19 in January 2021, Melanie received specialist ECMO care at the Brompton.Melanie passed away on 25th February 2021, 9 weeks after losing our father and 20 days after losing our mother - both to the same dreadful virus.

Our Dad spent many years under the care of Dr Batten, Professor Geddes, Professor Richard Wilson and Professor Loebinger whilst they treated him for his very rare condition of PLASTIC BRONCHITIS. Our Dad was very grateful to the expert care he received and we would like to honour that memory by encouraging his friends and relatives to contribute to this RESEARCH FUND in remembrance of our loving father, grandfather, husband and friend to many.

Our dear Hazel peacefully passed away on March 15th from pneumonia and sepsis. Harefield Hospital and its amazing staff helped Hazel throughout her life and in lieu of flowers we ask that you donate to the hospital in her memory.
In February 2018, my fiancé Eve had a double lung transplant at Harefield Hospital. Three of the four months she spent recovering at Harefield were spent in ITU.
