Enhancing lives across the hospitals everyday
The Patients’ Fund is open exclusively to staff, empowering them to work with patients to decide the best way to improve patient care and hospital life.
It’s often the little things that can make the biggest difference. That’s why our Patients’ Fund exists, providing grants of up to £10,000 to support meaningful projects that make being in hospital a little easier.
All member of staff within Guys’ and St Thomas’ Trust can apply
From waiting room refurbishments, to small pieces of equipment making procedures more comfortable – your ideas can transform everyday experiences that benefit heart and lung patients.
The Patients’ Fund is open twice a year, with £50,000 available each round.
Applying is simple

2. Submit your idea – fill in our short form – link below – with your project idea by 27 Oct 2025
3. Initial review – once completed, the Charity team will review your form for eligibility
4. Full application – all eligible applications will be contacted to complete a full application form along with a detailed budget
5. Panel review – full applications will be assessed by the Patients’ Fund Panel
6. Project start – successful ideas will receive notifications, funding and support
7. Deliver – showcase your idea, enhance our patients hospital experience and share your success with us
