In 2013, we contributed £2.3 million to the funding of the new Royal Brompton Centre for Sleep.

Since the Centre opened in March of that year, the hospital has been able to carry out far more studies into sleep-related conditions, such as apnoea, narcolepsy, restless leg syndrome and parasomnias including sleepwalking and nightmares, among many more.

The Centre is an innovatively designed space with night and day sections. Sleep studies are carried out in the night section in comfortable, high-spec sleep laboratory rooms. The day section comprises outpatient services, meeting area, education suite, and consultation rooms. The Centre has allowed the hospital to increase the number of studies in a more quickly, in purpose-built facilities, rather than in a general respiratory ward.

Thank you for helping us to make this happen.
