Conor and Izzie In 2018 Conor was in a potentially fatal road traffic accident whilst driving an ambulance at speed to attend an emergency call. Amongst many other injuries he had a torn aorta and haemopneumothorax, and was taken to the Royal Brompton Hospital ICU in Chelsea, where he was on ECMO for 3 weeks. The ECMO and support of the fantastic intensive care team at RBH saved Conor’s life. He was able to return to the hospital near his home to continue his recovery.
Conor used to run before his accident and hasn’t run regularly since, but now we have started running 3 times a week, when able, and are now already almost a third of the way towards reaching a 100km goal.
If you can spare anything it would be a huge contribution to help save lives like Conor’s, even if he runs like slender man. Conor and Izzie
