Our gorgeous Will was diagnosed with Idiopathic Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension (IPAH) Sept 2016 at Brompton Hospital. He received a double lung and heart transplant at Harefield on 29.12.17. After many complications he tragically passed away on 1.2.18 aged 22 years. We are completely devastated but know that Will would want us to keep fund raising for the hospitals in any way we can to continue to help and support them.
When Will was diagnosed with IPAH he was told he was ‘an enigma’. To us he’s always been ‘our gorgeous Will’.
As a family we’d never heard of this disease and we are determined to honour him and hope that in time a cure can be found. Meanwhile, there is so much for the scientists and clinicians to research that we want to help in any way we can, so that other families don’t have to go through our pain. Also the expertise, care and dedication at both hospitals was incredible and we know they did all they could to help Will. We now want to continue to raise funds in order to develop and provide the care necessary for future patients. We are so grateful for you choosing to donate to Brompton and Harefield Charity and remembering ‘our forever gorgeous’ Will. Thank you 💜
