If this last year has taught us anything it is live our lives to the full. I have always wanted to do a wing walk and when the opportunity came up to do one and raise money for a charitable project that helps people to live their lives, it was a done deal!

After a very testing year for us all, and personally having lost loved ones recently, unrelated to Covid, I have decided to do something slightly mad and life affirming for charity for my birthday.

On the 10th July I will be wing walking and raising money for the Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity - in particular raising money for their new state of the art life saving scanning technology in the Lifeline Lab.

The Skymax wing walking blurb says we "pitch and roll through the open skies and reach heights of a thousand feet and speeds of 130mph" ....all whilst strapped to the top of a plane. I can't wait!

And a big thank you to my sister Claire Macklin for aiding and abetting me in memory of my thwarted dream of becoming an Utterly Butterly Display Team Wing Walker (now the Aerosuperbatics WingWalkers) many many years ago! Katie Forman
