My name is Tammy lee and I'm 25 years old and 8 years ago I gave birth to a beautiful little boy Louie.
Louie was born with Holt-oram syndrome, a rare syndrome which is 1 in 100,000.
Holt-Oram syndrome is characterized by skeletal abnormalities of the hands and arms (upper limbs) and heart defects.
The royal Brompton have done 3 open heart sugurgies and gave louie a epicardial pacemaker to help with his heart function.
At just 3months old louie underwent his first operation followed by his second one at just under 3 years old and the third at 5 years old.
Words can not described how thankful we are for all the hospital have done for louie over the years.
From the surgeons, doctors, nurses to play team they all got us through the most hardest times in louie journey.
After each operation and louie was out of intensive care he went on to Rose Ward. Each member of staffs support and love has never gone unnoticed and this is why we have chosen to donate the money we raise to Rose Ward.
It's like one big family at the Royal Brompton and we will always be eterentaly grateful and support an amazing hospital.
Congenital heart disease is one of the most common types of birth defect, affecting up to 8 in every 1,000 babies born in the UK.
Please sponsor me and support a wonderful hospital. Tammy lee Reed
