My name is Matt. I am a Respiratory Registrar and cyclist. I have been fortunate enough to work at the Royal Brompton Hospital for the last four years. Three of which whilst undertaking a research PhD and one as a clinical registrar.

During my time at the Royal Brompton Hospital I have been honoured to work with many amazing physicians and more importantly inspiring patients. I have a keen interest into exercise medicine and breathlessness.

Large Airways Collapse with Symptoms (LACS) is estimated to affect 1 million people in the UK. It has a myriad of symptoms inculding chronic cough, recurrent chest infections, wheeze and breathlessness.

I will be cycling the Prudential Rode 100 - the 100 mile legacy route from the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games. I will be fundraising to raise money for LACS (Large Airways Collapse with Symptoms). This money will help fund research to improve diagnosis, treatment and care for patients with LACS.

Come fundraise with me. Follow my journey on Twitter @DrMattPav and Instagram mattpav83.
