Hi! I’m Taylor, a nurse working on the Transplant Unit at Harefield Hospital.

On the 20th September 2021, I am doing a sponsored skydive for The Royal Brompton and Harefield Charity, specifically the COVID-19 relief fund.

As the hospital is a Heart and Lung Specialist Centre, it has played a crucial role in treating patients with some of the severest cases of COVID-19. The hospital has had to significantly increase its critical care capacity and in turn, has needed to use a lot of resources (such as life-saving ECMO machines and ventilators) to provide the appropriate medical treatment and nursing care needed during the pandemic.

All money raised will go towards:

-Crucial equipment to continue treating patients needing critical care intervention and rehabilitation

-Towards the funding of the Patient Experience Team, who provide activities such as arts and crafts as well as iPads and other items, particularly for patients who are undergoing a long stay in hospital while there is limited visiting allowed.

-Staff wellness packages (for all of my colleagues who have worked tirelessly over the last year and deserve some TLC!)
