My sister was born in '89 with a serious heart defect and had to undergo open heart surgery at just 5 days old. She underwent a second surgery at 10 years old and a third at 25 which were thankfully all successful and she is now the mother of two perfect little boys. This wouldn't have been possible without the incredible work of the staff at the Royal Brompton Hospital who specialise in the treatment of heart and lung conditions. In an effort to raise money for this great Hospital I'm running the Ringland half marathon on the 1st March, the London Landmarks half marathon on the 29th March and the big one - the Manchester marathon on the 5th April. Any donations big or small will help me push through the inevitable pain of running 26.2 miles x Ben Hughes
