In memory

Fundraise in memory of someone special

Create something beautiful from loss, maybe you want to mark a birthday, an anniversary or just celebrate someone’s life. However you choose to remember them, it’s your chance to bring people together, share stories and create something lasting in their name.

Every pound you raise funds life-changing research, world-class care, and vital treatments for families who might be going through similar experiences to your own.

Here are some ideas to get you started:

  • Hold a collection at a funeral or memorial
  • Set up an online tribute page for memories and donations
  • Take on a run, walk or cycle in their name
  • Ask for donations instead of birthday presents
  • Organise a coffee morning or bake sale
  • Host a quiz night, concert or raffle
  • Do something that celebrates what made them special
  • Take on a challenge that would make them proud

Fundraising in this way will keep your loved one’s memory alive while making a real difference.

We chose to set up a memorial fund to give back to the amazing teams at Harefield Hospital, after all they did for our dad.

His heart condition was not going to get the better of him, or the specialists at the hospital. We are certain their combined efforts and positivity kept him alive and enjoying life for so much longer than we ever thought.

Every milestone family event we now celebrate, we use as an opportunity to top up our fundraising efforts, so other heart patients can benefit in the same way and we get to continue to remember him again and again.
