20 June 2025
Sunshine, sport and star power came together once again at Denham Golf Club for the 12th Annual Shakin’ Stevens Golf Day, raising an incredibly £25,000 in support of lifesaving care at Harefield Hospital.
Rock ’n’ roll icon Shakin’ Stevens returned to host the sold-out event, now a much-loved summer tradition for supporters of Harefield Hospital. With friendly competition, superb hospitality and a shared passion for supporting heart and lung patients, the day was a huge success.
Harefield Hospital will always hold a special place in my heart. The incredibly work they do – saving lives and supporting families – is truly inspiring. I’m proud to support them year after year through this golf day, and I’m so grateful to everyone who comes along to play and raise money for such a great cause.
After a warm welcome and team registration, the players took to Denham’s beautiful course. With 18 holes of spirited play and a few dramatic moments along the way, the competition didn’t disappoint.
This year’s winning teams were:
- 1st place: Kevin Haywood, Adam Pratchett, Lee Pratchett & Kevin Gentle
- 2nd place: Rob Humphrey, Jason Gibbings, Kevin Smith & Alan Newman
- 3rd place: Jason Dalby, Richard Elmitt, Martin Green & James Dalby
Special trophies were awarded for standout performances:
- Longest Drive: Russell Tindal
- Nearest to the Pin: John Smith
- Closest to the Professional Drive: Justin Coldwell
Following the tournament, guests enjoyed a celebratory meal in the clubhouse, where a raffle featuring generous prizes added to the excitement and fundraising total.
Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity extends a heartfelt thanks to Shakin’ Stevens, Sue Davies, Raf Notarianni, and all the volunteers, sponsors and supporters who make this day such a success, year after year. Thanks to your generosity, we are helping Harefield Hospital continue to deliver world-class treatment and care for people with heart and lung conditions.
We would also like to give a very special thank you to Martin-Baker Aircraft Company for their continued and generous support as event sponsor. And to all the teams who took part for bringing their energy, enthusiasm and generosity to the green.
