421 runners came together to raise an incredible total for heart and lung patients
The 42nd Annual Harefield Fun Run was another fantastic celebration of Harefield Hospital, bringing together patients, families, staff, and supporters for a day full of joy, determination, and community spirit.
On Sunday 7 September 2025, 421 runners laced up for the four-mile run or walk through the beautiful Harefield countryside. Among them were transplant patients, hospital staff teams, families, and supporters, all united by their love for Harefield and their desire to support heart and lung patients. Together, they raised an amazing £28,294.95.

As well as the run, families enjoyed Rakesh Soni & family’s ever-popular food stall and the Harefield Healing Garden. Sir Magdi Yacoub was warmly welcomed back and delighted many by signing copies of his book.
A special shout-out to the many staff members from Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals who brought music and joy to the route, and to our loyal supporter Eugene Miskelly, who returned once again to walk in support of our hospitals.
We are so grateful to all who supported on the day, including Harefield Transplant Club, St John’s Ambulance, Holly Kearns and Blue Watch Fire Team from Ruislip Fire Station, and PC Sohal and her team from Ruislip Police Station, as well as the massive team of volunteers who made the day possible.
Special thanks go to:
- The Blake family, who once again looked after the water point
- Martin & Misty on the finish line
- Barbara on merchandise
- Vicky , Hilary, Sallinder, Sarah, Caz & Ellie on registrations
- Nicky Fisher (Harefield Fit Club), who led the warm-up and provided the PA system
- Christine, Claire, Tracey & Tammi for cheering our runners.
We’d also like to thank Georgia, Mike & Discovery Explorer Scout Unit, plus Joanne & the cadets from CMIDDLESEX & NW LONDON ACF, for marshalling, handing out medals, and keeping spirits high. A brilliant team of VINCI volunteers also came in on Friday to help us get ready for the day.
