To celebrate some of our long-term donors we held a special celebration on the River Thames. Guests were welcomed onboard the HQS Wellington, the home of the Honourable Company of Master Mariners, and treated to glasses of sparkling wine and delicious canapes.

Jazz Goats, the phenomenal band, comprised of 8 talented musicians including Harefield’s very own Dr Chris Bowles wowed the crowd with their musical talents. They kicked off the evening with some slow jazz and by the end of the evening they had people dancing all over to their up-tempo beats. Magical entertainer, Stephen Jones, also joined us and took to the floor to wow guests with his incredible tricks.

We were delighted to have a few speakers take to the mic during the evening including Chairman of the board of trustees for the Charity, Richard Hunting and trustee of the HQS Wellington Eric Shawyer. Director of Nursing at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Trust, Joy Godden shared her story of why support to the Charity is so important and then handed over to patient Vanessa Tedbury who had the crowd in tears as she shared her journey from transplant to recovery.

We’d like to thank all our guests once again for all they have done to support the Charity over the years. A special thanks to Eric Shawyer for providing us with the venue for the evening and to Helen Putter for her generous contribution of wine for the evening. And a final thanks to our incredible entertainers for the evening, Jazz Goats and Stephen Jones.
