Pam and Don will be celebrating their Golden Wedding Anniversary in September but this would not have been possible without Don’s lung transplant 5 years ago and the continuing care and support of the Harefield Hospital and its wonderful staff.

The Hospitals Charity provides support in the following areas:

• Purchasing equipment and research that falls outside NHS funding such as the Organ Care System Kits that keep transplant organs working during transportation.
• Enhancing the wellbeing and experience of patients – recent donations have boosted the Wi-Fi reception on the wards, provided iPads and created a Healing Garden where patients and family can rest and reflect
• Supporting the physical and mental wellbeing of the staff - with additional support during the pandemic
• Providing bursaries for staff to study or research
