I will be running the Ealing Half Marathon in September on behalf of Heart of West London, in association with Brentford FC.

The aim of Heart of West London is to ensure that everyone has the minimum skills required to save a life. They raise awareness of heart disease, as well as the lifestyle changes you may need in order to live a healthier life. The money raised will contribute towards life saving research as well as funding cardiac screening that can detect cardiac problems that would have otherwise not been found.

I am proud to be running for this organisation. As a Brentford season ticket holder, this kind of work is particularly important. In 2018, Robert Rowan, former Brentford FC technical director, died in his sleep from as episode of fatal cardiomyopathy at the age of just 28. This massively impacted everyone associated with Brentford football club. Heart of West London’s fundraising will hopefully increase the availability of screening for people at such a young age.

Any donations towards this organisations work would be greatly appreciated. Each week alone, 12 young people die of undiagnosed heart conditions. Your donations can help to increase the level of funding available in order to screen young people, and avoid such tragic deaths at such young age. Adam Millin
