I volunteer at Harefield Hospital. I love meeting the the patients. Often, Harefield's patients can be very ill indeed, some of them can stay for months while they wait for a new heart or new set of lungs. It can be terrifically scary, it can also be boring to be cooped up on the wards.

Harefield has a healing garden, tended to by a team of volunteers, which looks beautiful all the year round. There are benches where both staff and patients can spend some time away from the wards and get a breath of fresh air.

I think this space is really important. I'm selling my paintings and donating the profits to support Harefield Healing Garden projects.
