This is me at 15 months old recovering from open heart surgery. I was born with a congenital heart disease called Transposition of the Great Arteries and thanks to the incredible work of Harefield Hospital I was given a chance to receive pioneering surgery which saved my life. As a child, hospital visits and procedures were frequent and growing up my condition had an impact on all my family but I was grateful to be given a chance of as normal a childhood as was possible. As an Adult Congenital Heart Disease patient, my care and treatment is life-long.
Please help me raise awareness of Adult Congenital Heart Disease and support the Life In Focus Appeal so congenital heart disease can be diagnosed and treated more effectively by donating to my 90 day fitness challenge.
I am taking part in the Body Coach's 90 Day Fitness Plan which requires me to be very sweaty and breathless over the next 3 months! I am not a natural fitness fanatic and have never taken on such a physical and mental challenge before. With two young children, it'll be a challenge in itself to complete the 5 weekly workouts but I am determined to do it for such a worthy cause! Please donate as much as you can and we'll mend hearts together! ❤️❤️❤️ Laura O'Loughlin
