From babies with congenital heart disease to adults in need of life-saving transplants, Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals carry out some of the most complicated heart and lung procedures available anywhere in the world.

Since starting at the Charity, I've been able to meet some of the patients whose lives have been saved by our hospitals and feel truly inspired to finally get my running shoes back on!

I've done very little running since March, so need all the encouragement you can give! Everything you donate will go directly towards supporting patients with heart and lung disease at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals.

Like Will, who at just 17, contracted a virus that attacked his heart and resulted in end-stage heart failure. Eight open-heart surgeries, one artificial heart and one heart transplant later, Will, now 25, is doing incredibly well.

Or Anbu, who was able to live out his dreams and travel to Australia thanks to the team at Harefield.

And Rebecca, who now has a totally artificial heart that saved her life, after being diagnosed with (very rare) heart cancer.

Thank you!
