Ruben, was my niece's second son, a beautiful little boy, who was at 3 1/2 weeks old, diagnosed in intensive care with dilated cardiomyopathy. He started life as a happy, healthy little boy, who suddenly suffered this condition.

On NYE 2021 they rushed him to their hospital, and suffered the devastating news that he had gone into cardiac arrest. They were meant to be celebrating with family, but instead they had to leave their other son behind, and have their hope managed to possibly not bringing their other son home. After twelve more days of fighting, Ruben, passed away on 12 January in their arms.

As you can imagine, this time of year is very hard for them as a family, and we want to show our support, by helping them fundraise and get closer to their target of £200,000, which currently stands at £164,000, raised in 21 months!

They have committed to fundraising £200,000 to support research into the genetics of cardiomyopathy, this is to help get an understanding of this disease so that other parents do not suffer the same agony they did.

So this March I will be taking on a 10 mile walk around Lincolnshire, helping them to work towards their next milestone of £170,000.

If you can help me raise as much money as possible to support Patrick and Charlotte's brave endeavor while they are still grieving, it would be much appreciated!
