From Monday 26th until Friday 30th September, we'll be injecting a dose of health and well being into staff at Royal Brompton

Without healthy staff who are well and in work, the NHS could not deliver the quality and effective care it provides patients. However, with long, often antisocial, hours and sometimes only minutes to grab a bite to eat, many NHS staff members are less healthy than people in other sectors.

That’s why we are teaming up with the Healthy London Partnership and several other hospitals in London to take part in  Healthy Living Week – five days of events designed to get NHS workplaces fit, active and having fun, kicking off on Monday 26 September.

Throughout next week there will be a number of activities at Royal Brompton for staff, patients and visitors to get involved in, including smoothie bikes in the Sydney Street foyer on Thursday 29 and Friday 30 September, 10am-4pm. These allow people to use pedal power to make their own smoothies!

There will also be free fruit available at the Charity Hub, so come say hello, pick up a banana and try your hand at one of the activities.

Look out for updates on social media about how the week is going by searching @RBHCharity and the hashtag #HealthyLivingWeek.
