Our annual fundraising walk in Central London is returning on Sunday 2 July, three days before the NHS’s 75th birthday. We want to raise thousands of pounds as a birthday treat for the NHS, but we need your help to do it.

Tickets are on sale now for the 2023 London Bridges Walk. Join us and other supporters of Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals for a spectacular walk through Central London that crosses six iconic bridges over the Thames. The route will take in the world famous sites of the Houses of Parliament, the London Eye, Lambeth Palace, St Thomas’s Hospital and the Tate Modern.

All the funds raised from the London Bridges Walk will go towards The Patients’ Fund. The Patients’ Fund provides for the small things that make a big difference during a visit to the hospitals. This can be TVs for apheresis patients to watch during treatment or a trolley to provide comforts to transplant patients during a long stay in hospital.

Last year we had face painters and walkers from as far away as Somerset. Our chief executive, Richard Bowyer described last year’s event as:

A fabulous day, with beautiful weather. We were so pleased to see so many walkers enjoying themselves and showing such a strong commitment to raising funds for patients. Events like this mean that the charity can make a huge difference for heart and lung patients.

Everything you raise will go towards making Royal Brompton and Harefield hospitals better for heart and lung patients, which will be a brilliant birthday gift to the NHS.

Sign up and join friends of the two hospitals in wishing happy birthday to the NHS and raising funds for heart and lung patients:
