The Journey Continues by Eugene Miskelly is a powerful story of recovery after being in a coma for 18 days at Harefield Hospital. Eugene describes it as a:

“Memoir of an extraordinary set of experiences involving surgery, weeks in a coma and then fighting to recover and learn to walk again. A story of the power of determination and positive attitude.”

Everyone at Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity wants to thank Eugene for sharing his story.

All the funds raised from the sales of The Journey Continues will go towards Harefield Hospital. Harefield Hospital is amongst the world’s top heart and lung hospitals. The hospital’s dedicated staff work constantly to care for people with heart and lung conditions like Eugene, who said:

“I cannot repeat often enough how much I owe to the NHS teams who looked after me – from the radiographers to the receptionists. I want to give something back to those who dedicated so much to me.”

Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity is here to support the amazing work that Harefield does. We raise funds and support projects that go beyond what the NHS provides to help make this brilliant hospital even better.

The proceeds from The Journey Continues will go towards innovation and leading edge equipment, so that Harefield can help more heart and lung patients today and in the future.
