This Christmas we are aiming to raise funds for small projects that make a big difference

Throughout December all donations made to the Patients’ Fund will be doubled. We have an ambitious target to raise £50,000, which will then be matched to £100,000, to fund small projects at the hospitals that make life more comfortable for patients.

Through the Patients’ Fund, any member of staff can make suggestions for small projects that make a big difference. Recent examples include Harefield’s Apheresis Unit requesting a TV for patients to watch whilst they receive their treatment, the catering team asking for china mugs to improve the tea rounds and a comfort box for patients receiving palliative care.

This year we want to fund more projects that fall outside the scope of NHS funding but are vital to the experience of patients and their families.

The Charity would like to thank some very generous donors who have agreed to double any donations made to the Patients’ Fund in December, up to the value of £50,000. It’s essential that we raise £50,000 (doubled to £100,000) to help make hospital life a little more like home life.

We will have more updates for you soon, so keep an eye on your inbox and our social media feeds for ways that you can help fundraise. Donations will need to be made to either the Patients’ Fund or the special Doubling December appeal for them to be doubled.

Thank you for everything you give. It makes a huge difference to patients.
