This Christmas we will be raising funds for small projects that make a big difference

Throughout December all donations made to rb&hArts, the hospitals' arts team, will be doubled. We have an ambitious target to raise £50,000, which will then be matched to £100,000, to fund art and music projects that will help make a difference to the wellbeing of patients.

Wellbeing is central to the rb&hArts programme that supports patients, staff and the wider community. The benefits of the creative programme are that it can:

• Reduce isolation and loneliness
• Increase opportunities for skills development, boosting confidence and resilience
• Encourage and develop social interaction, creating a nurturing community spirit for patients, their families, and for staff.

The Charity would like to thank some very generous donors who have agreed to double any donations made to rb&hArts in December, up to the value of £50,000. It’s essential that we raise £50,000 (doubled to £100,000) to help make hospital life a little more fun and interactive for patients.
