It was with deep sadness that we learnt of the death of Glen Swire, on 3 September 2017

Glen founded the hugely important LACS Appeal, which raises funds to support research into improving the diagnosis, treatment and care for patients with LACS (Large Airway Collapse with Symptoms). He led the appeal to raise well over £300,000 to support patients with this rare respiratory disease through sharing important information.

Glen fought his disease bravely for several years. During that time, Glen gave generously himself and also raised funds through friends and family. He leaves a tremendous legacy with the LACS project, which will continue to grow and develop.

The Charity team sends its sympathy and best wishes to Glen’s wife Caroline and to his daughters.
