After having a heart transplant 25 years ago Michelle decided to celebrate her ‘New Heart Anniversary’ in a very special and unique way – by holding a Strictly Dancing at the Movies night!

“As a way of giving back, I wanted to turn my dream into a reality and raise vital funds for Harefield hospitals extension of a new intensive care unit.  This will provide a further 6 rooms to the unit, each with specialised intensive care equipment, fund more staff for 24hour one to one care, create a sun therapy terrace and provide a critical imagining suite to the unit consisting of an MRI AND CT scanner... There are currently 150 critically ill patients waiting to use the ICU facilities, with the addition of the new rooms, staff and specialised equipment, Harefield estimate they can treat an extra 250 patients a year , effectively reducing waiting times, improving and ultimately saving lives...

For my special 25th anniversary on Valentine's day 2017 I held a fundraising event called Strictly Dancing at the Movies. A night of entertainment where strictly stars took to the floor and swept people away to the sounds of the movies in dance styles including salsa, country, jive and waltz...”
